Richard Owen Ransom is an American businessman and entertainment professional. He is the President of Salt Lake City Film Group. Ransom was born October 8, 1971, as Richard Owen McDowell, in Columbia City, Indiana, to Patsy Ann McDowell, an artist, and Earl Leon McDowell, a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He changed his last name to Ransom when he married Dawn Renee Ransom, taking her name. Rich was raised in Indiana. He attended South Side High School in Fort Wayne for 3 years and graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1990. Rich attended Ashworth College earning an AS in Paralegal Studies and a BS in Business Administration. He has completed 1 year of law school. Before moving to Los Angeles to be a filmmaker, he spent 25 years working in management/supervision for multiple businesses, he was a postal employee, a paramedic, a hypnotherapist, a professional photographer, a videographer, an executive assistant with Trans Continental Records, a road tour manager, a music video producer and director, a talent scout, a talent agent, a casting assistant, and a production assistant. All of these positions led him to be an experienced writer, producer, director, and executive at Salt Lake City Film Group, founded in November 2023. Ransom was the Owner and General Manager of the Triple-A Dayton Gems hockey franchise, that played in the International Hockey League in 2009-2010. Rich's life has taken him all over the globe. He has lived in more than 10 states and visited 5 different countries. He resides in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan area with his two dogs, Carmel and Pretzel.
Tad Atkinson has over 30 years' experience in stage, television, and film. Tad was a producer on Star Trek: Renegades and The Vanishing Hitchhiker, as a co-executive producer he worked on Mendacity, as well as producer on Christian Warriors, with Dr. Julio Antonio del Marmol. The two did The Cuban Lightning Motion Comic Project, Intervention, and Kitty Download. prior to his producer credits, he worked as Production Coordinator on the sci-fi pilots Nobility and Coxmo's.
Mason Peters, a Utah native, comes to Salt Lake City Film Group from the world of real estate. As a college baseball athlete, Peters studied Business Management at Utah Valley University. As a persistent self-starter who uses his charisma, charm, and people skills to solve problems and complete tasks, he welcomes the opportunity to expand his knowledge. A fashion enthusiast, cinephile, and aspiring filmmaker, he looks to obtain financial freedom and pursue his passion for the entertainment business.

Bryan Bernardi came to Salt Lake City Film Group with Production Assistant experience on over 20 television, commercial, and movie sets. He was certified through the Utah Film Commission Production Assistant Certification program.
